Northeast Boys Varsity Basketball beats Chesapeake 52 to 50. Northeast jumped out to a huge lead starting the game, and finishing the first quarter on a 17 to 0 run. However The Cougars did not give up and clawed their way back into the game. Chesapeake was down 13 at half and only 3 going into the fourth quarter. Northeast missed two foul shots with 21 seconds left in the game, and Chesapeake’s Reed Rebstock took advantage of the situation. Hitting a 3 pointer from the top of the key with 8.6 seconds left to tied the game up at 50. Northeast quickly called time out and set up a full court play. The ball was thrown into Jaylin albury and he went coast to coast hitting a floater in the middle of the lane at the buzzer to win the game. Jaylin Albury finished the game with 21 points 5 assists and 3 steals. Brandon LeBarron had 15 points, hitting three 3 pointers. Brennen Volkman had 6 points, and 7 rebounds. Darrell Sheppard 4 points, and 6 rebounds. Olimade Ajayi scored 3 points. Keishon Thomas had 2 points and played excellent defense. Trent McNeill finished the game with 1 point.
